About Tanya Bradley Leatherwork

My name is Tanya Bradley and I’m the founder of Bradley Leatherwork.
My history with my love of horses goes back to watching Black Beauty and Follyfoot as a young child and spending an hour at a riding stables on a Sunday. It wasn’t until becoming an adult that I ventured into horse ownership and the wonders and heartbreaks that brings.
My foray into leatherwork started when I bought my puppy Tank a dog collar that broke straight away, I was so annoyed and decided I would make him one myself. My leatherwork journey was via YouTube and buying a leatherworker starter kit.
The only leather I had to practice on was my collection of old tack from my Tackroom.
I made Tank a collar from an old clencher browband, it looked amazing and I really enjoyed the process of teaching myself a skill.
Dog collars evolved into handbags when with new leatherworker eyes I saw my broken leather boots as two little handbags.
Saddles also were perfect to be made into handbags incorporating tack as the closures and straps.
I have always felt that leatherwork has come easy to me almost like I’ve done it before. It’s certainly now become my biggest passion in life and is the validation I’ve been seeking for a lifetime.

Joanna-
Tanya has made me the most beautiful bag , I'm so pleased with it. She managed to incorporate my late ponies saddle and bridle parts. Its safe to say I was a somewhat demanding customer but Tanya surpassed my expectations by creating a bag that I adore and which reminds me of my lovely Brown Eyed Boy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this very creative and accommodating artist.
